Industrial developer Pannatoni Europe has announced the signing of a development contract for a build-to-suit project at Panattoni Park Prague-Airport. The project will entail the construction of a 11,500 sqm building, of which global logistics services provider DSV Road has signed for 6,500 sqm of industrial space.

Building 4a of the project will provide DSV with the option for expansion or speculative space of another 5,000 sqm. Construction on the expansion will start in May 2011, with the facility serving the company as a distribution center for the Czech Republic.

“DSV was looking for a flexible and efficient solution, which would support its growing activities in Western Prague and Panattoni was able to provide such a tailor-made facility within the park,” said Jaroslav Kaizr, head of the Czech and Slovak industrial letting team at Cushman & Wakefield.

Pannatoni has been building its flagship Prague project in similar build-to-suit stages, with the potential being a total of eight buildings containing 160,000 sqm of industrial space. Currently the park has four buildings and 55,000 sqm of space.
