tacky headlines

Is it possible for your headline writers not to use loaded terms such as "commie" in headlines. This word is almost always a term of abuse, and therefore has no place posing as an official term for something in a supposedly impartial news article. The regular use of "nuke" in your headlines is equally annoying and innappropriate. Again, this is a slang term for nuclear weapons with macho connotations. But it is not used to refer to nuclear power stations. Are your copy editors too dim to know the difference? - or just too lazy to type out "nuclear power"?
